Schools want to bring their students to Hickory Museum of Art for an enriched learning experience, but often do not have the funds to do so. The Catawba County school system estimates it costs $3 per child or $200 per bus to finance a student tour of the Museum.

“Typically funding for school field trips comes from donors or from the students’ pockets. Usually the students incur the cost.”  Kathy Mersinger, Certified Teacher, Retired.
