2021/2022 HOME SCHOOL Art Program
Classes are designed for students ages K-8th grade and will be divided into three age groups (depending on grades enrolled). *Kindergartners must be five by October 1, 2021 to participate.
Each month will focus on a different art process/technique, utilizing the museum’s various exhibitions while teaching a broad-based knowledge of art fundamentals.
Competency goals in art, language arts, and social studies will be met throughout the year following the N.C. Common Core and Essential Standards.
MASK POLICY: Hickory Museum of Art will continue to monitor and follow all CDC and North Carolina state government COVID-19 safety protocols. Until new guidelines are in place, students will be asked to wear their mask while in HMA’s homeschool classes. Please check www.hickoryart.org for HMA’s current mask policy information.
